| Fire, Fury Corps organizes ex-servicemen rally at Ladakh | | |

Ex-servicemen rally was organized under the aegis of Fire & Fury Corps at Leh, to honour the ex-servicemen and war widows of Ladakh. The event was organized to interact with the veterans who have given their best years to the organization and to make them feel cared for even after they have hung their uniform.
Lt Gen PC Bhardwaj, GOC, Fire & Fury Corps, inaugurated the ESM rally in the presence of distinguished civilian and service dignitaries.
Addressing the rally the General Officer paid tributes to the ex-servicemen of Ladakh and lauded their role in nation building. He also assured them of all possible help in their rehabilitation as also in solving their problems.
Ex-servicemen and war widows were abreast with information on various welfare schemes especially the Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), pending pay and allowances cases, ESM helpline projects, knowledge of banking and possible loan proposals towards house building and vehicle purchase, various education and professional avenues for career development of children, advice on legal matters and pending litigations.
Army authorities made their sincere efforts to attend to the problems of ESM and the feeling of “Still you are in our Family” was given to war widows and the ex-servicemen, a defence handout said.
