| HC stays posting of 495 selected JE Civil | | | JAMMU, APRIL 19 Justice Nirmal Singh of J&K High Court, Jammu Wing, in a much publicized selection of 495 Junior Engineers (civil), directed respondents that they shall not issue posting orders of these selected JEs and also directed Commissioner/Secretary PWD to appear in the court on May 7, 2007. This significant order was dictated by Justice Nirmal Singh in the jam-packed open court after hearing Advocates Surinder Kour, Abhinav Sharma and Tashi Rabstan appearing for three separate petitions and AAG SC Gupta appearing for the state respondents and Adv Anil Sethi appearing for the private respondents. In these writ petitions filed by the graduates in civil engineering challenged the selection on various grounds including the higher qualifications and prayed for quashment of the selection list issued by J&K Service Selection Recruitment Board published in the newspaper on April 7, 2007.
