| Pahari Employees Hold meet | | |

A meeting of Pahari Employees Welfare forum was held and was attended by the Executive of District body and Tehsil Bodies of Haveli and Mandi. The meeting was chaired by Senior Vice President Sudershan Sharma.
Speaking on the occasion Sharma said that paharies employees have been worst suffers since 1947 and successive government in J&K paid no attention towards their socio economic deterioration. He appealed the state and centre government to grant ST status to paharies.
General Secretary Vijay Puri in meeting said we hope for the best during Chief Minister ship of Ghulam Nabi Azad president of Haveli Tehsil forum Manjit Kumar said the employees belonging to pahari community feel suffocated. General Secretary Haveli Zaki Haider said that paharies are really backward and this is known and understood fact. He hoped that present Govt. will not turn a Nelson’s eye towards our long pending demand.
Others who spoke on the occasion include Ghani Sham Sharma, Rahul Kapoor, M.A. Tantray, Rehman, L.R. Dutta, Janak Raj Sharma, Prithvi Raj, Zafar Nawaz, Nahar Singh, Keerat Singh, Mohd. Akram and Ali Badur Pandit.
