| Government bans transmission of FTV Channel | | | JAMMU, APRIL 20 Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has banned transmission and re-transmission of FTV.com India Channel by Cable Operators and DTH in whole of India. Director Broadcasting content Government of India in a notification says that FTV.com India, a satellite TV Channel is reportedly telecasting programmes such as “Midnight Hot” which are against good taste and decency and likely to adversely affect public morality. Therefore in exercise of powers conferred by Cable Television Network (Regulation) Act 1995, the government in public interest prohibits the transmission and re-transmission of this Channel from all platforms. All cable operators in Jammu and Kashmir have been as such directed to urgently stop transmission and re-transmission of FTV.com India Channel in the state.
