| Rs. 5 cr earmarked for beautification of Jammu city: Charak | | Asks people to keep their surroundings neat and clean | | Jammu, April 20 – Minister for Roads and Buildings Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak today visited of Jammu interior and interacted with local people to putforth their suggestions for making better roads, lanes and drains in the city. The Minister was accompanied by Jammu Municipal Corporation Mayor Mr. Narinder Singh and Ex-Mayor. Mr. Charak said that Rs. 5 crore have been earmarked for the beautification, upgradation and repairs of roads, foot paths etc in the city. He said that work is on full swing in different parts of Jammu city and added that the roads completed so far under this programme include Vinayak Bazar, Deuna Mandir, Raghunath Bazar via Residency road to DC Office, City Chowk to Shalimar, Rameshwar Rotary to Parade, Rani Park Road and MAM road. He said work on all other roads is on progress. Mr. Charak directed the executing agency to speed up the construction and upgradation work on these roads for early completion. He also appealed the people to cooperate with executive agency and keep their surroundings clean which is necessary for making Jammu a beautiful city of our country.
