| No one will be allowed to play politics with employees: JCC | | | Srinagar, June 6 : Maintaining that the employees' leadership here will not allow anyone to play politics over the demands of employees, the JCC Friday stated that it looks forward for the fulfillment of other demands pending with the government. JCC leader Abdul Qayoom Wani while commenting over the political debate told Kashmir based news agency KNS that triggered between Congress and NC with the both the parties claiming credit for the decision, stated that the enhancement in the retirement age was the long pending demand of the employees and that its leadership is thankful to the Omar Abdullah led coalition for fulfilling the demand. "There must be no politics involved in the demand of the employees. "We demanded our demands and will continue to tread the same path," he added. JCC leader told that the demands including the merger of the 50 percent of the DA with the basic pay after the DA reaches 100 percent. "The problem the state employees are facing at present is the delay in the disbursement of the DA. It is in the budget provision. The government only needs to disburse it once it becomes due. This belated payment of the DA is a concern for the employees." Wani further said that the JCC has already in a written memorandum to the government stated that the service benefits of RT teachers and contractual employees be given. "If you cannot give them the amount of the previous years of the service at least gives them the service benefits so that their years of duty could not get wasted," he suggested. Referring to other demands of the employees pending with the government, he said, "The JCC leadership is hopeful that the same shall be fulfilled in the near future." "The regularization of the daily wages and the casual laborers is among our basic demands and the government has already assured the resolution of the pending issues in the near future." |
