| Andhra Cricket Club, Islamia Cricket Club register victories | | All India 10Th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket tourney | |

DODA, June 6: Andhra Pradesh Cricket Club and Islamia Cricket Club Bhanihal defeated their opponents during ongoing All India 10th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship-2014 being organized at Sports Stadium in Doda today.
The tournament was organised by Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) Doda and sponsored by J&K Bank, Bajaj Allianz and Rashtriya Rifles (RR) Rajput Doda.
According to spokesperson the first match of the day was played between Andhra Pradesh Cricket Club and Maysore Cricket Club Bangalore and Andhra Cricket Club emerged as winners 3 wickets.
“Batting first after winning the toss Maysore Cricket Club Bangalore made 144 runs at the loss of 10 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Muzamil scored 34 runs while Mahesh made 17 runs. For Andhra pradesh Cricket Club , Lovraj and Vijay shared 2 & 1 wickets each, spokesperson added.
He said, “In second inning Andhra pradesh Cricket Club chased the target 145 Runs in 18 overs with the loss of 7 wickets, for Andhra pradesh Cricket Club Uma made 26 runs while Parveen contributed 23 runs to the total while Abuzar and Nassir claimed 3 & 1 wickets respectively for Maysor Cricket Club Bangalore.” Andhra pradesh Cricket Club Uma was declared as Man of the Match for his best All Rounder performance.
Meanwhile during second session on Friday, Islamia Cricket Club Bhanihal defeated Bhalessa Cricket Club. Batting first, Bhalessa Cricket Club scored 119 runs only at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Amir scored 33 runs while Arif added 36 runs whereas for Islamia Cricket Club Bhanihal ,Rafiq Baba & Shakeel claimed 3and 2 wickets.
In its reply Islamia Cricket Club Bhanihal chased the target in just 13.3 overs at the loss of four wickets only. Islamia Cricket Club Bhanihal registered victory by 6 wickets. Islamia Cricket Club Bhanihal Mukhtiar was the top scorer with 44runs followed by Sajid Ali who added 33 runs whilst for Bhalessa Cricket Club, Mubashir & Arif Took 2 & 1 wicket each.
“Rafiq Baba For Islamia Cricket Club Bhanihal was declared as Man of the Match for Best All Rounder performance, spokesperson said.
During the valedictory occasion Dr Tariq Masood DISTT Immunization Officer Doda presented the award to the winners. The match was officiated by Darmesh Bhardwaj and Sanjay Singh as Umpires while Waseem Raja acted as Scorer, spokesperson added. |
