JAMMU, June 6 : In protest against the alleged maladministration in University of Jammu (JU), the students and scholars under the banner of Students Scholars Joint Action Committee (SSJAC) today staged a dharna and protest on JU campus.
Led by Lovedeep Singh Mankotia, the protesters demanded immediate removal of the 'undemocratic and sycophant' Vice Chancellor of JU, who has 'created a mess in the university and making all tricks' to get further extension for three years in the university of Jammu as VC.
The students and scholars requested Governor NN Vohra to immediately remove Vice Chancellor who has destroyed the sanctity of the VC's chair.
Mankotia said that VC has appointed blue eyed DSW who doesn't understand the genuine problems of the students and scholars of the JU.
Parduman Singh, a research scholar, said that Vice Chancellor is playing with the career of the students and trying to create a wedge among the different communities of the students and has adopted the policy of divide and rule. |
