srinagar, June 6: : The visiting side of ONGC today defeated J&K Police by a solitary goal in a group-B match of the ongoing Invitation Football Cup at Mini Stadium, Baramulla, here.
The only goal of the match came through Dimal Singh in the 34th minute of the match. It was followed by three back to back sure goal chances but ONGC missed all the times thus failed in their attempts to improve the score on board.
In the meantime, J&K Police got a golden chance to level the score through a penalty kick. However, alter guard at the net foiled the J&K Police attempt. Later, Dimal Singh, who scored the all important goal, named man of the match. In today's match, District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, Farooq Ahmad Shah and DIG G H Hassan Bhat were special guests. Now, in the next match, SBT Kerela shall take on J&K Forests at Polo Ground, Srinagar at 4 pm tomorrow. |
