JAMMU, June 6: Carmel Convent School organized a singing competition christened as "Carmel Idol", for the students. The Student Council of CCS, Kunjwani put up this function to explore the hidden talent in Carmelites. Initially, there were 140 participants. After the two elimination rounds, 16 students from each category the junior group(V-VII) and from the senior group (VIII-X) were the finalist of the day. Finally, four students from each group were declared as winners. The main objective of the programme was to unravel the talents of the students who often remain unaware of their aptitude. The students were judged on the basis of their pronunciation, expressions, them, rhythm and the beats. The exciting part of the activity was that some of the teachers also participated; this crested a thrill on the campus and in the students. The Principal of the school Sr Maria Suzette A.C further encouraged the students with her prodigious stimulations to continue progressing in different fields and to participate confidently and freely. |
