| RBI holds 'Financial Literacy cum Awareness' programme at Tulmulla | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Jun 6 : Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Srinagar today set up a 'Financial Literacy cum Awareness' stall on the occasion of Mela Khir Bhawani at Tulmulla in Ganderbal District of Kashmir Division in which large number of people visited the RBI stall. During the occasion, RBI officials interacted with the people and answered their queries on various issues raised by them. A special session was conducted for school/college going youth who were informed about banking facilities and education loan facilities provided by various banks. A note cum exchange counter was set up by the Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd for the benefit of the pilgrims. Officials managing the stall of the bank also distributed brochures and informative material covering various aspects of banking services, non-banking services and the grievance redressal mechanism available to the customers. RBI team also spoke about fake and fictitious money offers made by some unscrupulous elements and cautioned people against such fraudulent offers. They exhorted the members of public to remain vigilant and not to fall prey to such schemes. |
