KATHUA, June 6 : On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Speak India Environmental Foundation (SIEF) organized an awareness programme at Village Chadwal under the Chairmanship of Sunil Sharma. While addressing the gathering, Sunil Sharma, Chairman SIEF, said that eco balance is the need of hour and only plantation is the way to save the environment and it is the duty of every individual to work for the environment protection. Making aware the general masses about the ill-effects of polythene, Sharma said that use of plastic in our day to day life will destroy the entire eco-system. Naresh Kumar, Executive Member SIEF, said that the Foundation demands setting up a polythene check point at Lakhanpur so that illegal transportation of polythene comes from Punjab side could be stopped effectively. |
