Jammu, June 6 : Lauded the achievements of Prof Bhim Singh chief Patron National Panthers Party (NPP) for the welfare of people and mankind, Young Panthers described him as a apostle of peace, brotherhood, humanity and philanthropy especially as appeared during his recent goodwill visit to Pakistan. Addressing the media persons, Syed Mohd Rafiq Shah MLC & State President Young Panthers said that Prof Bhim Singh, Sr Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Chairman, Committee of Foreign Affairs of SCBA was invited by the Lawyers Conference, Lahore headed by Zulfiqar Ali Jehangir to work out the modalities for joint efforts to provide free legal aid to the prisoners of Pakistan languishing in Indian jails and vice-versa. "Prof Singh during his visit to Pakistan interacted with several prominent leaders of PoK and discussed with them about the new role of J&K leadership to build the bridges of peace and solidarity between New Delhi and Islamabad, he added. He also informed that during his visit Prof Bhim Singh invited all of them to 3rd 'Heart to Heart Talk' which shall be held in J&K and New Delhi respectively. Shah also said that Prof Singh during the 'meet the Press' programme in Islamabad described Maharaja Hari Singh as savior of identity of J&K in presence of several political groups, ministers and institutions. "Prof Singh made an interesting disclosure that identity of J&K was established and protected by the royal decree issued by Maharaja Hari Singh in 1927 and not by Article 370 of Indian Constitution, Shah said adding, "Prof. Singh vowed to act as an interface between the government of India and Pakistan to resolve the issue of J&K by the joint efforts especially the youth from both the sides of J&K including the people of Gilgit-Baltistan." Among others present in the press conference included Sr Vice-President Young Panthers, Spokesman Young Panthers, General Secretary Young Panthers, Zonal President Jammu rural and others. |
