| Clash among militant outfits, HuM militant killed | | Slain militant was involved in recent civilians kidnapping | | Doda | Apr 20 A militant of Harkat-ul- Mujahideen (HuM) outfit was killed due to clash between the militants of HuM and Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfits at Kulthu in Doda this morning. Meanwhile, Police has stated differences over distribution of booty and area of operation to be the reason behind the clash. According to reports, a HuM militant namely Abdul Qayoom code Hakani, son of Mohd Abdullah Malik of Soti was killed in group clash which took place between LeT and HuM militants at Kulthu under the jurisdiction of Police Station Gandoh. His dead body was recovered from Manoo forest area this morning with guns shots in chest and hands tied at the back. As per Police, such type of group of clashes occurs due to differences over distribution of booty and area of operation. According to sources, the slain militant was active since the year 2000 in Gandoh area and was involved in the recent kidnapping of two civilians namely Mohd Ayub, son of Mohd Sabar Khan and Manawar Din, son of Ghulam Mohd Khan of Kandli, chilly of Tehsil Gandoh in which one civilian namely Mohd Ayub, son of Mohd Sabar Khan was killed and the other was rescued by Police. Besides he was also involved in other militancy related crime during last seven years. Later his body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
