Despite rains 863 leave for Buddha Amarnath, 168 for Amarnath

Jammu, Aug 6
Despite incessant rain in Jammu and Kashmir since the past few days, 863 pilgrims today left for Buddha Amarnath situated at border district Poonch.
As the Amarnnath Yatra is coming to end this year, the number of pilgrims have been decreasing and only 168 yatris left for the Holy Shrine of Amarnath this morning.

Official sources said a fresh batch of 863 pilgrims, comprising 713 men and 150 women, left in fleet of 19 buses and five light motor vehicles under tight security for Buddha Amarnath.

The Amarnath yatris, comprising 71 men, 10 women, one child and 86 sadhus departed by four buses and one light motor vehicle.
