| House Committee of LC inspects development works | | | Jammu, April 20
–The Departmental House Committee of Legislative Council comprising Chairman Mr. Bilal Ahmad Lodhi and members Mr. G.N. Lone, Mrs. Farida Mir and Mr. Ali Mohammad Sofi today inspected various works executed by different departments like Bhadarwah Development Authority, Rural Development Department, Forest Department, Social Forestry besides Dul Hasti Power Project.
The Committee also inspected the works executed under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme under which thousands of unemployed youths were given employment and need basis. The committee directed the authorities to complete the ongoing works under various schemes on University Campus, Lake and Roads at Bhadarwah and also directed Social Forestry Department to start plantation in uncovered areas of the district. They stressed upon the Bhadarwah Development Authority to take necessary steps to beautify the town in order to attract the tourists in the area.
The Committee was satisfied with the working of these departments and appreciated them for their quality works.
Among others, the Committee was accompanied by Director Rural Development Jammu, Chief Conservator of Forests, Conservator of Social Forestry, Chief Executive Officer Bhadarwah Development Authority.
