| Govt warns employees indulging in DOB manipulation | | |
Jammu, April 20 (INFO) –Government has warned those government employees who indulge in manipulation of their recorded date of birth with ulterior motive to stay in government service beyond their actual date of superannuation. A circular issued by General Administration Department has enjoined upon the administrative secretaries and heads of departments to take necessary follow up action and also advise their employees who may have indulged in the manipulation to take advantage of amnesty granted till May 30th, 2007 after which action under rules and law will follow including termination from government service. The circular signed by Principal Secretary General Administration department Mr. Khurshid Ahmad Ganai further adds that it has come to the notice of government that certain government employees are indulging in manipulation of their recorded date of birth to stay in service beyond their actual date of retirement. It further says that this kind of impropriety invites disciplinary action under rules and also under the J&K Prevention of Corruption Act. It has been decided to first call upon all such government employees to voluntarily have their date of birth corrected as per record by or before May 30th, 2007 after which legal action will follow, the circular adds.
