KUPWARA, June 15: Residents and shopkeepers have appealed the concerned authorities to get the Highway Roads and other roads as well in this frontier district macadamized as the same were in dilapidated condition for the past several years.
The pathetic condition of the roads has left the residents in a state of worry.
While expressing their problems, the residents said, that the bad road condition play havoc with them especially during rainfalls.
Were we see from Kupwara town and other roads like Kupwara to Khumrayal Lolab, Kupwara to Bohipora, Kupwara to Batergam, College Road and other link roads are in bad condition, administration can't do anything.
"The road is in such a bad condition that rainfall leaves no way for us to walk on, as the whole road turns into heaps of mud," Raoof Hussain, a resident said.
A Bsc Student Zubair Ahmad said that we have lot of problem to go for college because of bad condition of roads we were late for taking lectures, instead of five minutes we have to travel more than 30 minutes to reach the college. The locals said the dilapidated roads even make it accident prone. They appealed the Cantonment Board authorities to look into the matter... |
