HC directs for keeping four posts of Chief Accounts Officer reserved 6/16/2014 11:31:35 PM JAMMU, June 16: Justice Tashi Rabstan of High Court in a petition filed by Girdhari Lal Sharma directed state government to keep reserve four posts of Chief Accounts Officers till further order. This direction has been passed in a petition in which petitioners have been promoted to the post of Account Officer and in terms of SRO 210 of 1994, 50:50 ratio is required to be maintained as per the Jammu & Kashmir Gazetted (Junior Scale Accounts) Service Rules which comprises of promotees and direct recruits and the seniority is this required to be maintained amongst the directs recruits and the promotes as per aforementioned service Rules in 50:50 by applying the rota-quota principle/rules. The service period between promotion of petitioner in their own pay and grade with charge allowance up to the date of their regularization on the post of Accounts Officer is required to be settled down in accordance with various judgments of the Apex Court.
