| Thieves strike at mobile shop at Gummat, house in Akhnoor | | |

Last night thieves struck in a mobile shop at main bazar Gummat and looted a large number of mobile and other things from the shop. Thieves also decamped with cash and gold ornaments from a house in Akhnoor in broad daylight.
According to reports, thieves struck at Ganpati Mobile Shop and looted all mobile phones, which were kept in the shop.
Early morning, when owner Rahul resident of Chand nagar, opened the shop he saw all the mobiles missing and he informed the matter to police.
Aa police team rushed to spot and took some sample of figure prints with them. Police has registered a case in this regard and is investigating the matter. Sources said the thieves had decamped with mobiles worth lakhs of rupees. Meanwhile, today in a broad day light thieves struck in the house of a BSF jawan at Akhnoor and looted thousands of rupees and gold ornaments, when no one was present in the house. According to reports, thieves struck in the house of BSF Jawan namely Dwarka Nath at Sanjay Colony, Akhnoor, when his wife Swarna Devi, who is an employee in Anganwari was not present in the house.
Reports said when Swarna Devi returned from the duty, she saw the lock of the door open and when she entered the house, she saw about 20 thousand rupees cash and gold ornaments stolen from the almirah. she immediately informed the matter to police. A case has been registered in this regards and investigation has been launched till reports came in.
