| Yaseen for internal ceasefire in J&K | | | JAMMU, APRIL 22
Chairman People Democratic Front (PDF) and Minister for Transport Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has said that 3rd Round Table Conference (RTC) on April 24 is a right step at right time. He said people of the state are hopeful that the conference would yield results and would provide platform to leaders of every shade of opinion to put forth their viewpoint.
In a statement issued here today, Mr.Yaseen underlined the need for internal ceasefire in the state to boost up confidence and make Round Table Conferences more effective in creating peace. He also advocated for return of Kashmiri youth who are in PoK or Pakistan and not involved in serious crimes adding that a mechanism needs to be evolved in this regard. He said both the countries need to consolidate people to people contact at various levels across LoC saying that Trade and Commerce should also be started without any further delay to improve the Confidence Building Measures.
Mr.Yaseen said that by holding of RTC’s over Kashmir, Prime Minister has laid firm foundation for evolving political consensus adding efforts need to be made to yield logical conclusion. He also appealed India and Pakistan leadership to set up a high level group for working out ways and means to strengthen relations and settle all pending issues for improving relations. |
