Underprivileged communities have always taken guaranteed as vote bank: Yadav
Backward Classes leaders gave clarion call of rise and awake

D P Yadav chairman NUBC, ST/SC and Minorities today emphasized upon the delivering of constitutional rights to the underprivileged section of the society. Yadav also exhorted the people to remained united and express solidarity to get their rights as divided they may fall.
Addressing the rally, Yadav who was chief guest in the rally organized by Backward Classes democratic Party (J&K) demanded due reservations as directed by the Apex Court to deliver justice to the poor and down trodden. He also said a message should be delivered that they are the part of the society like other human beings and not are merely vote banks to the political parties. He also exhorted the people to generate mass awareness campaign among the fellow beings that they should not be swayed away by the ‘illusive sloganeering’ and not reduced to only vote bank.
B Patel Member Parliament and Haji Peer Mitha Baji who were special guests on this occasion also underlined the need of the awareness about the social and constitutional rights. They also reiterated the demand of due reservations to the backward classes and other needy people for their upliftment in social set up.
Earlier, Sheraz Azhari state president BDP in his welcome address highlighted the problems of the backward classes in the state especially in the wake of SRO 294 and also demanded early redressal of the pending cases of the compassionate employment under SRO-43. Speakers from this platform also highlighted demands like establishing of Advisory Board for Other Backward Classes in J&K, implementation of 27% reservation, clearing of Backlog, scholarships to students from OBCs, establishing of Backward Classes Commission and allotment of free plots to members of landless and poor families.
Others who addressed the rally included Dr Daya Ritu general secretary, Dr Ravi Kant Verma secretary, Mohd Sadiq Shera vice president, Bharat Bhushan treasurer, Majid Malik Convener, Rafiq Malik, Haji Nissar Choudary, Ch Mohd Sher Azad and others.
Earlier a ralliest assembled at Press Club Jammu and raising slogans marched through the city and culminated at Parade Ground where party leaders addressed the ralliest.
