| PHE Workers Association holds protest, will observe 24 hours symbolic hartal on June 30 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 25: In connection with their 24 hours symbolic Kaam Chhore Hartal to be held on June 30, PHE Workers Welfare Association under the leadership of Bakshi Singh Provincial President today held massive protest-demonstration in premises of Chief Engineer PHE Department BC Road Jammu.
Thousands of employees of PHE Department from far-flung areas participated in the rally and raised anti-administration and anti-government slogans saying that it has failed to regularize the services of daily rated, need basis and casual workers even after 19 years the other long pending demands like providing of monthly wages at the rate Rs. 150/- per day, clearance of pending wages of all sorts of workers, framing of new concrete policy for any recruitment in PHE Department, creation of higher scale posts both of civil and mechanical nature to create the promotion avenues for employees those who are on the verge of retirement, conducting of DPC against the vacant posts so that promotions be given to the deserving senior most employees, introduction of welfare fund scheme in PHE Department for the betterment of the employees. Subash Verma Provincial General Secretary of the association addressing to the employees at demonstration venue has said that the dead line was fixed for the State Government for the redressal of all issues of the employees by 25th of June 2014 ends today and now our employees are free to observe the KAAM CHHORE HARTAL on the scheduled date on 30th of June 2014, the State Government will held responsible for any consequences. |
