JAMMU, June 25: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Shantmanu, visited the Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar and take stock of the arrangements being made by the administration for this year's annual Shri Amarnathji yatra. Shantmanu had a round of the Yatri Niwas Complex and viewed the venues where various required facilities are being put in place for comfortable stay of yatris. Director Tourism, Jammu, Soujanya Sharma, apprised the Div Com about the status of all facilities like power, drinking water, sanitation, transport, security, langar arrangements and related issues to be made available to the Amarnathji yatries. The Divisional Commissioner reviewed arrangements related to accommodation, catering, hygiene, sanitation, medicare etc. He directed the concerned departments to ensure adequate arrangements with regard to water and power supply, garbage disposal, medicare, transport, etc for the pilgrims. Later, addressing a meeting of the officers in the complex, the Divisional Commissioner stressed on importance of ensuring best possible arrangements for the stay and onward movement of the Yatris. Among others, SSP Jammu Uttam Chand, Commissioner JMC Kiran Wattal, Joint Director Information Jammu Smita Sethi, ADDC Jammu Niraj Kumar, SP Security Ramesh Angral, RTO Jammu Arvind Kotwal and other senior officers of various departments were also present on the occasion. |
