GMC&H and Associated Hospital Jammu seeking details of revenue generated by the radiology department including CT Scan unit of the hospital and questioned why people of state had to go outside of state for PET Scanning. According to first RTI, the RTI activist sought details from PIO GMC&H Jammu, how much revenue generated from CT scan and MRI Scan units installed at GMC&H Jammu? He also had sought reply about how much revenue has been generated from Radiology Department in GMCH Jammu. In another RTI he has sought reply regarding how much amount lapsed which was sanctioned by Center and J&K Government for purchasing instruments/Machines and other items in GMCH and associated Hospitals Jammu (J&K) for last four years).Dabgotra said that they illegally installed CT Scan Machine without formal inauguration under Public Private Partnership mode. "Nearly Rs 2 Crore was generated from GMC&H CT Scan machine earlier, he said adding, "maximum amount of the money which was used for development of the Hospital will now be swallowed by the Private Players and thus taking toll of development of Hospital. In the Expression of Interest it was decided that PET Scan will be installed in GMCH for which people had to go outside of State for PET Scanning and under PPP mode this machine worth 20 crores nearly should have been installed but in place of this multi utility PET Scan Machine a simple CT Scan machine was installed in the GMCH Jammu to appease the private players.Dabgotra also said that Private machines under PPP mode are also been installed in Super Specialty Hospital Jammu are being installed in in hush hush manner to favour one Pune based Company M/S Krsna Diagnostic Pvt. Ltd. Pune without the requisition/consent/advice of the concerned experts/HODs of the departments and that too without following the codal formalities of the Finance Department/Cabinet for getting its approval/consent. "The need of filing this RTI arises because we felt that there will be revenue loss of the Hospital after PPP mode, he added. |
