| JKTF holds protest for not releasing salary | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 25: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum working under Sarav Shiksha Abhiyan and Rashtriya Madhmik Shiksha Abhiyan Schemes today held a massive protest demonstration in front of the Press Club Jammu to express their concern and resentment against the SSA/RMSA authorities for not releasing the salary grants of SSA/RMSA teachers/Masters. Hundreds of teachers/Masters under the leadership of State General Secretary Ganesh Khajuria participated in the protest demonstration to highlight the burning demands of the teaching community. The protesting teachers raised slogans against the authorities who are responsible for the delay in releasing salary grants. The teachers working under SSA/RMSA are at the verge of starvation as they have not got their salary for the last six months. Ever since the start of SSA/RMSA Schemes the teachers are facing a lot of problems and the officials at the helm of affairs particularly the Directorate of SSA/RMSA is wholly responsible for the sad state of affairs. The delay in the release of salary has caused a great resentment among the teaching community who have lost their patience and have been forced to come on the roads for the redressal of their just and genuine demands. The leaders served an ultimatum to the Director SSA/RMSA Jammu to release the grant within ten days otherwise the Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum would be forced to launch an agitation for the fulfillment of their demands. They also appealed to the Hon'ble Chief Minister to personally intervene in this matter so that the teachers working under SSA/RMSA could be saved from further harassment. |
