Jammu and Kashmir Rahbre-e -Talim (JKReT) condemned Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) and General Line Teachers (GLT) for opposing state government's decision in favor of ReT. A meeting of ReT teachers was held under the leadership of its state president Vinod Sharma. Addressing the meeting, Sharma said that ReT have left no stone unturned to raise the education standard in the state by opening the closed schools in far-flung areas, increasing enrolments in the schools, minimizing the dropout rates and raising literacy rate in the State. "They have devoted 5 years service in the department at just Rs 1500 per month and now the government has conceded their genuine demands and these general line teachers must understand the facts that RET Teachers have been performing all kinds of duties like surveys, census, election and are highly qualified and nobody has right to oppose their genuine demands" he said.
