| NSF demands audit of last three years in CU | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 26: Stepping up the attack against the administration of Central University of Jammu (CUJ) for its failure to start construction work on the campus, National Secular Forum (NSF) appealed Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Samriti Irani to remove Vice Chancellor of Centre University of Jammu (CUJ). They also appealed Minister to direct CUJ administration to conduct audit of last three years. Addressing the press media here today, Sukhdev Singh President NSF, said that Chancellor for not taking note of their demands and maintaining stoic silence over the entire matter. He also condemned the Chancellor for prompting youth to adopt the agitation path instead of redressing their grievances. Singh criticized the working of Central University Vice-Chancellor and also to show there resentment against Central University of Jammu authorities are putting each and every effort for absorbing their kiths and kins in the campus and no check accountability in functioning of Central University Jammu. Singh said the varsity has become a rehabilitation center for retired and corrupt officials. "The varsity administration has violated the norms by recruiting the retired teachers and other staff members. As per the Central University Statutes, the serving officials should not be above 65 years but the administration has recruited some teachers who are above 65years," he said. Singh said that the CUJ administration was ignoring the youth of Jammu region in jobs and jobs are being awarded to non-Jammuties thereby the CUJ, V-C was playing with the emotions and sentiments of Jammu ties. |
