| BNMS demands govt to constitute advisory committee | | |

Bhawan Nirman Mazdoor Sangh (J&K) organized a workers meet at R S Pura under the chairmanship of Ashok Choudary vice president Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (J&K) to take stock of the problems faced by the construction workers and demanded an advisory committee to review the Labour Act 1996.
Speaking on this occasion Laxman Ravinder Singh senior BMS leader regretted that the state government look towards the Labour Act of 1996 (Regulation of Employment and Condition and Services) passed by then Parliament introduced after eleven years on 15th January 2007. ‘But it is in complete, ‘ he said and added as the government has failed to announce the Advisory Committee in this regard.
Further speakers exhorted the gathering to express solidarity and remain united for the cause of the workers and unity of the association.
During the proceeding District Body for Bhawan Nirman Mazdoor Sangh announced its executive members which include Dhana Ram as chairman; Ashok Kumar as president; Charan Dass as vice president; Bua Ditta as secretary; Madan Lal as joint secretary and Joginder Lal as treasurer. While Satpal, Kartar Chand, Bhagwan Dass, Bachan Lal, Rajkumar and Charan Dass as members of the new executive body.
