Jammu and Kashmir State Red Cross Society extended financial assistance to the tune of Rs. 2.59 lakh to deserving persons of the state during February last. Financial assistance was provided for purchase of crutches, hearing aids, wheel chairs and medicines.
During said period 1190 patients were provided medicare facility, besides the society distributed 468 blankets, 126 kitchen sets, 156 tarpaulins and 557 woolens to the sufferers of various nature.
