Jammu, June 30: In a latest development, the Domana police today claimed to have arrested two more persons including a store keeper of CA&PD in huge govt ration scam unearthed on the other day with the arrest of five persons including a sarpanch. The accused have been identified namely as Naresh Kumar of Patnayal and Raj Kumar, Store Keeper Central Store CAPD Jammu of Circular Road Peer Mitha Jammu, police sources said. Meanwhile, CAPD authorities, taking cognizance of the matter, placed Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Bhadore, dealing with the distribution of food items among the rationees attached to it and order suspension of the same till further order. Police spokesman said that during the investigation of case under FIR No. 243/2014 u/s 409/407/109/RPC, 3/7 ECA, SI Jai Paul Sharma SHO, Domana under the close supervision Sanjay Parihar, SDPO Domana, ML Kaith, SP Rural and Uttam Chand, SSP Jammu, today arrested the abovementioned accused including the store Keeper Central Store CA&PD Jammu of Circular Road Peer Mitha Jammu. "Following their disclosure, Domana Police recovered 100 bags of Floor/Rice weighing 50 Kgs each and also sealed the Ration Depot of Dwarka Nath of Patnayal, police said. Further continuing its investigation in this regard, Madan Lal Sharma, TSO, Pawan Singh Jamwal Supervisor and Ashish Kumar Clerk were also called for questioning. Arrest of some Officers/Officials of CAPD shall be affected in the near future, said spokesman. However, accused Dwarka Nath of Patnayal and Ram Lal Naib Sarpanch Badrore are absconding after the registration of the case. Police have launched manhunt for the arrest of absconding accused while further investigation into the case is on. |
