Udhampur, June 30: Chenani police today claimed to have arrested the absconder from Katra here today after evading his arrest for the last atleast four years.
According to police, the accused identified namely as Gulzhar Ahmed s/o Satar Ahmed of Kosar, Chenani was booked u/s 379 RPC against a case registered FIR No 2/09 in Chenani Police Station. After executing the crime, the alleged accused absconded, sources said. "On specific information, police said, "Chenani Police raided at the possible hideout of the accused at Katra and during the raid the police team arrested the absconder." Police said the arrest was made by a team led by SHO Chenani Ajit Singh and the accused will be produced in the court of law for further course of legal action. |
