| Thieves steal cash, jewellery worth lakhs from trader's house | | | Earky Times Report
Samba, June 30: Some thieves barged into the house of a businessman at Kehli Mandi in Samba and decamped with cash and jewellery worth lakhs of rupees here late last night, police sources said.
According to police sources, the family members were sleeping outside the home when the theft took place and it was the early morning when they came to know that their house has been burgled and they immediately informed the concerned police about the incident.
"Harbans Singh, owner of house lodged the complaint stating that jewellery, worth about Rs 5 lakh and cash Rs 1.50,000 were stolen from his house.
"We have started the investigation and a case had been registered in this regard. They added that after receiving the complaint the police rushed to the spot besides a team of Forensic Science Experts (FSL) was also called in to collect the circumstantial evidences."
"The police had got vital clues and the thieves would be arrested soon," police sources said, adding, "this theft appears to be the handiwork of a professional gang." |
