| M. Phil degree holders accuse PSC for defying HC order | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 30: M. Phil degree holders alleged that despite High Court order to accept their application forms for the post of assistant professor the JK Public Service Commission is not accepting the same.
While addressing a press conference, College Contractual Lecturers, Petitioners of M. Phil case along with M Phil College Contractual Lecturers and other M Phil holders University Research Scholars said when the delegation of petitioners visited JKPSC office at Jammu to submit their forms along with High Court's decision copy the officials directly refused to accept and give their forms.
Even petitioner's forms are not entertained and JKPSC which is directly dishonoring the Court's decision till date PSC is not giving neither accepting the forms of M Phil holders. They further said that the Higher Education Department in its advertisement for engagement of academic arrangement lecturers has barred M Phil degree holders from Lectureship which was a shocking decision and introduced in Jammu Province first whereas the session started from Kashmir region As the matter is subjudice and the Honorable High Court's Srinagar Bench Stayed the whole PSC notification even then the Higher Education Department is not considering the M.Phil candidates for the Post of Contractual Lecturers. They appealed the Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister to intervene into the matter. Also they have appealed to the Leaders of opposition to support them in this noble cause. |
