| Motor Transport Companies demands streamlining of RTO Office | | |
Jammu April 23 Representatives of All J&K Motors Transport Companies emphasizing upon streamlining the RTO office, Jammu and also urged people not to all prey to the so called fake agents for their jobs related to the RTO office. Addressing a press conference, Gajan Singh, president of the said association categorically said, “No affiliated agents have been nabbed instead those who were picked up by vigilance were fake agents.” Further, he appealed the people to remain vigilant against such elements, who fleece the innocent people by luring them to get their jobs done, he said. Gajan Singh and other speakers also demanded for enhancement of the employees, only affiliated agents to be allowed in RTO Office, adequate supply of the required stationary and strict action against erring officials, who entertain the non affiliated agents. They also mentioned that representatives of All J&K Motors Transport Companies have been entrusted with responsibility of registration of commercial and non commercial vehicles, renewal of permits, duplicate documentation and release of fresh and duplicate licenses from the concerned office. During the press conference the executive members of the said organization flanked the main speaker Gajan Singh and highlighted their demands.
