Srinagar, July 6: Aijaz Ahmad Wani a young activist from Zainapora Shopian today joined Peoples Democratic Party(PDP). Son of former MLA of Wachi the late Mohammad Jabbar Mir, Aijaz is a lawyer by training and has been active in political and social field in the area.
He was welcomed into the party along with his supporters and associates by the party president Mehbooba Mufti.
Aijaz on this occasion said that he was impressed by the party's agenda especially its vision for the youth of the state. He said youth have been the most neglected, repressed and exploited section of the society and PDP's past performance and its agenda offer hope and confidence to the new generation of a better future.
On this occasion senior party leader Gh Mohiudin Wani, district coordinator, Attaullah Simnani, social worker Makhan Lal and youth leader Mohsin Qayoom were also present. |
