| Farmer receives splinter injuries | | | Jammu, July 6: A man received severe splinter injuries after the shell recovered in the fields he was fiddling exploded suddenly at village Sohal falling under the jurisdiction of Akhnoor police station.
The injured have been identified as Krishan Lal son of Badri Nath of village Sohal Akhnoor.
Police said that incident took place when Krishan was working in the fields near his residence.
"He found a shell and started fiddling following which it exploded and resulted splinter injuries to Krishan", said police sources.
He was immediately shifted to SDH Akhnoor and after preliminary treatment he was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) for advance treatment.
Police have taken cognizance in this regard. |
