| JYF condemns Controller Examinations | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 6: Jammu Youth Forum flays the Controller of Examination on the issue of non-declaration of results of the Department of Economics, English, Hindi, History, Sociology, Dogri, Commerce, Math, MCA, and Urdu which were held 7 months back.
Addressing the press-Conference here today, Vikram Kumar President of the Forum said that university for playing the future of the students. There is no meaning in examination wing because the students who appeared in 1th and 3rd semester examination are most dreadful agony as they would not be able to admission for further study in another university outside the state.
He alleged that university is implementing the academic calendar but has failed in declaring the result as per the calendar. He said that it is easy to make academic calendar but to execute it, it needs proper management. He said that university has failed at all fronts in managing management properly.
He said that nothing is being done for the welfare of the students and they have being taken for granted. He said that where 45-60 days have been fixed by the university for coming out with the result but more than 170 -200 days are being taken by the university and university authorities are least concerned for the same.
Kumar said that MA Sociology 3rd Semester which was held on 8th January 2014 is delaying be 172 days, MA English 3th Semester exam which was held on 27th Dec 2013 is delaying be 183 days where as Hindi 1st Semester exam held on 14th Dec 2013 is delaying by 196 days, MA Commerce 1thSemester which was held on 14th Dec 2013 is delaying by 196 days, MA Sociology 1st Semester which was held on 8thJan 2014 is delaying by 172 days and so on.
Whereas MA Geography 3rd Semester which was held on 15th DEC 2013 got its result after 190 days on 1th JULY 2014 and same is the case of other courses.
He added that examination calendar is being forcibly being followed by the university. He said that where syllabus of the students is not completed the exams are being taken.
He said results are not declared by the examination Work on time and nothing has been done by the University officials to come up with this problem. He said that Controller Examination wing has also not taken any step in coming up with this problem. He said this will not be tolerated and JYF is going to start agitation in this regard.
