JAMMU, July 7: Kaka of RS Pura bagged the 3rd Annual Bhaga-Saldi Dangal title outplaying Lalli of Garh Shanker in Punjab in the main bout decided at Government High School Bhaga in district Reasi.
Winner Kaka and runners-up, Lalli awarded with a cash prize of Rs 6,000 and 5,000 respectively by president of the J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma, who was chief guest.
Advocate Pawan Dev Kotwal and DySP Reasi, Ashok Kumar Sharma were guests of honour. Prominent among others present were Sarpanch Rattan Singh and Sarpanch Baldev Singh.
Dangal was organized by Bhaga-Saldi Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
In all, 45 bouts took place in this dangal involving 84 wrestlers drawn from within and outside the state.
The second main bout won by Roshan Lal Sharma of J&K Police beating Johni of Attari Border in Amritsar. Roshan Lal bagged a cash prize of Rs 4500 while Johni got Rs 3500.
Inderjeet of Attari Border Amritsar clinched third bout outplaying Bobari of Sarore while fourth bout went to Sukha of Garh Shanker, who beat Murad Ali of Domana Akhara. Charrat of Amritsar won the fifth main bout after he defeated Prahlad Singh of Kalakote in Rajouri.
Members of technical officials who helped in smooth conduct of this event included Surinder Singh, Sarpanch Munshi Ram, Kabla Singh, Krishan Lal, Deepak Wazir, Captain Lehar Singh, Master Ram Krishan, Murli Dhar(Munna) and Mohd. Fareed.
