| Anganwadi workers hold massive dharna at DC office | | |
Jammu | April 23
Anganwadi workers under the banner of J&K National Trade Union held a massive demonstration outside DC office. The Anganwadi workers demanded enhancement of wages, regularization of Anganwadi workers, enhancement of rent and actual TA charges. Workers from all over the districts of the Jammu province participated in large numbers and expressed resentment over the delaying policies of the state Govt.
While addressing the dharna of Anganwadi workers Mohammad Gafoor Dar, State President of Anganwadi workers union condemned the callous attitude of the Govt. and higher authorities of the Social welfare Department. He appealed to the Anganwadi workers to be united for the achievement of their demands.
The other leaders, who spoke on this occasion were Fatima, Kanchan Sharma, Zarina Begum, Hanifa Begum, Suman Suri Razia Begum, Indra, Sumitra and Anita Gupta
