| NSUI holds youth meeting | | |
Jammu | April 23 National Student Union of India (NSUI) activists held a meeting under the leadership of S. Manjeet Singh Jatt, General Secretary NSUI, J&K. Hundreds of youth including NSUI activists and local youths participated in the meeting. While addressing the meeting, Manjeet Singh said that it is very clear that the strength of the unemployed youths is increasing day by day and this has become a huge problem. He appealed to the chief minister of the state that the age of retirement for government employees should not be increased from 58 years. He said that, the majority of rural areas of the state has no presence of multinational or corporate sectors and rural youth need govt jobs to survive. He further added that the organization is going to start a signature campaign in favor of reduction of age from 58 to 55 years. Others who spoke on the occasion were Surinder Sharma, President Rural Distt. Jammu, Parminder Singh, President Distt. Poonch, Sunil Choudhary, Karnail Singh, Manjeet Singh Sardari, Satnam Singh, Sunil Singh, Atul Gupta , Taran Singh, Mandeep Singh and Lucky.
