| Andrabi blames Pak agencies for trailing freedom movement | | | Jammu, April 24 The Dukhtarani Milat Chief,Ms Aasia Andrabi, has blamed Pakistan Government and its agencies, that pumped money into Kashmir, for derailing “the freedom movement.”
The volatile separatist leader has, in her interview published in the latest issue of a Srinagar based weekly”, said that “our trust on Pakistan has proved costly because Islamabad deviated from its original stand on Kashmir.” She has stated that with big chunks of money being pumped in Kashmir by Pakistani agencies had derailed the freedom struggle because it diluted the basic commitment to sustain the movement. She claimed that those who were heading the movement had started keeping their flock of supporters together after they received monthly emoluments. Ms Andrabi said that in the initial stages of the struggle for freedom launched in Kashmir “we had pinned hopes on Pakistan.” She said but over the years Pakistan Government deviated from its stand on Kashmir and started reciprocating India’s plan on giving weightage to trade and travel. She said that “I have no contact or connection with any Pakistani agency, including the ISI.” She said that “when my organization launched a campaign in favour of Purdah I was discouraged in it by none else than one ISI official, Abdullah.” She claimed that the ISI official advised “me against launching the campaign which could harm the freedom movement.” She added “I had informed Abdullah that I had sought approval from Molvis and Maulanas in Kashmir still he opposed the campaign.” The Dukhtarani Chief said that “I felt amazed when another official”,whose name she could not recall, ”instructed me to continue with the campaign for women to wear Purdah.” This contradictory stand taken by the ISI had “confused and baffled me forcing me to lose trust in any Pakistani agency.” In reply to a question she accused APHC chairman Molvi Farooq,of “striking a deal with Government of India.”She said such tactics will not succeed whether the deal was being hammered out by Molvi Farooq or Syed Salahuddin.”We will not allow these brokers to further derail the struggle,”she said
