| Women killed, 14 injured in Sopore blast | | | Baramulla (Sopore), August 06
A woman was killed and thirteen others including five policemen were injured three of them critically, when unidentified militants hurled a hand grenade towards busy main market of Sopore in Baramulla district of North Kashmir in a powerful explosion in north Kashmir this afternoon.
Official sources disclosed that unidentified militants hurdle a hand grenade targeting a police party in the main market of Sopore injuring at least five police personnel including ten civilians.
They said that the injured were immediately shifted to sub district Hospital Sopore, where a critically injured women succumb to her injuries.
He said doctors in a Sopore hospital referred five seriously injured civilians to different hospitals of Srinagar for specialized treatment.
According to sources yesterday security forces had beaten some civilians of the area including the owner of new light Bakery and brother of Congress Minister Taj Mouhi-ud-din. |
