| Respect Human Rights; DGP to Jawans | | |
Srinagar April 24 Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Gopal Sharma today asked Jawans to ‘put up a people friendly face by respecting Human rights while on duty.
He was addressing Police cops in south Kashmir district of Pulwama during a visit to the district police lines.
DGP asked men in Khaki to observe the basic principles of Human Rights while conducting ‘Anti-Terrorist operations’. He also called upon his contingents to put up a people friendly face.
The credibility of Jammu and Kashmir Police came under red after a senior police officer’s was found involved in fake encounters in Kashmir recently.
State police start educating its caders about Human rights and those violating these rights are dealt under law.
