| Harassment, blackmailing of ALC Kishtwar widely condemned | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, July 13: President Sarpanch Association Drabshalla Block of Kishtwar District Mohammad Iqbal Keen condemned the harassment and blackmailing to Assistant Labour Comm- issioner Kishtwar Zakir Hussain Wani by self styled union leaders having bad past track record and urged upon the administration and police to dealt such culprits with iron hands who are creating unne -cessary hurdles in smooth functioning of Ratle Hydro Electric Project at Drabshalla. The association said that these self styled union leaders are not only harassing ALC Kishtwar, but also resorted to blackmail tactics with the project authorities on the name protest with fake unions logo having no registration.
They also urged project managements of GVK Energy Limited and L&T Company that they should give preference to local un-employment youth of Drabshalla block at first instance including to those families whose land were acquired for the project construction.
"After adjustment of unemployed youths from Drabshalla, the company should give preference to unemployed youths of Kishtwar District and adjoining areas as the same was agreed in principle by the management while signing the MoU with government of Jammu and Kashmir", they further urged. Earlier Bar Association Kishtwar and its members also condemn the harassment of ALC Kishtwar and demanded stern action against such mischievous elements. |
