| Govt making way for 'Blue-eyed' in guise of regularization: PDP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 13: Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Shishu Gandotra today alleged that the coalition government in the name of regularisation was trying to push in a number of 'Blue-eyed' in various government departments for which officers are being pressurized to incorporate names of several candidates, who have not completed even one year of their services, in the lists being prepared for the purpose. The PDP leader alleged that in some cases the politicians are recommending names of youth who have not worked in any government department for even a single day. Demanding an in depth inquiry into the matter, Shishu Gandotra said that while preparing lists of names of candidates for regularisation the department must produce attendance sheets of all such daily wagers, casual workers or those working in adhoc or consolidated wages. Those lists, he said must also be published in various newspapers and also displayed in district headquarters before regularising all such candidates. The officers of various government departments, he alleged are being pressurised to prepare fake lists so that some of the party workers or their wards are adjusted before next assembly elections to gain political mileage. Other than these people there several teachers, engineers, doctors and other employees working on ad hoc and contractual basis who are working in Boards, Corporations and other PSUs for the past more than a decade whose names should also be included for regularisation. He warned government to desist from effecting backdoor appointments in the name of regularisation failing which an agitation would be launched. |
