Hakeem seeks ‘separate conference for separatists’

Jammu April 24
Minister for Transport Hakeem Mohammad Yasin and Chairman People’s Democratic front, has urged upon prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to arrange separate conference for the separatists groups to provide them an opportunity to present their view point.

Speaking at the Round Table conference, Hakeem while describing it as a part of ‘dialogue process said ‘turning down of the invitation by separatist does not mean that they should spurned be or they are not important in the present context’.

“They (Separatists) should be given a respectable space to air their views and for the purpose a separate conference for such groups is required “Hakim is reported to have said at the conference.

According to a press release issued here today, Hakim also demanded constitution of a high level group involving leaders from India Pakistan, besides Chief Ministers from either parts of the Kashmir for ensuring a greater cooperation in trade, commerce, tourism, besides addressing ‘important issues’.
