Jugal inaugurates Jashen-e-Reasi -Public Information Campaign

Jammu, April 25
Minister for Rural Development, Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma inaugurated 5-days Jashen-e-Reasi and a Public Information Campaign (PIC) at Reasi. The campaign, commenced from April 24, will be an educative and informative programme to acquaint the people about various developmental schemes of their interest.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the purpose of the campaign is to make public aware of the centrally and state sponsored welfare schemes, launched in the state, in order to obtain full advantages of these schemes meant for needy and deserving persons of the society.
Mr. Jugal impressed upon the officers, who are directly associated with the campaign, to ensure that purpose of the campaign is accrued by way of providing detailed aspects of the schemes to the people. The Minister said that positive response could be expected only once people get real picture of the schemes.
Mr. Jugal said state government has launched a massive campaign for over all development of the state particularly for downtrodden population of the society living in remote areas of the state. He said it is the resolve of the government to mitigate all the problems of people and keep available them maximum civic amenities at their door steps. The minister said that health, education, road, electricity, water and unemployment are among the priorities of the government and a colossal amount has been earmarked for development of these sectors. Giving resume of the developmental projects, the minister said that state as a whole and Reasi as a particular will witness all round development in near future.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Deputy Director General (M&C) Govt of India, senior officers of state and PIB, score of media persons, besides local senior citizen were present on this occasion.
