| MLA Kathua alleges Irrigation Department of Rs 14 crore misappropriation | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, July 20: MLA Kathua constituency Charanjeet Singh accused the Irrigation Department of misappropriating the funds meant for the construction of Chack Dam at Kokhyal.
He alleged that the expenditure on the Chack Dam Kokhyal shown by the Irrigation Department is Rs.14 crores which is not visible on the ground on seeing condition of the dam which is in dilapidated conditions.
He said the expenditure of Rs 14 crores shown by the department has been misappropriated. He said he has written letter in this regard to the Minister of Irrigation and higher authority also to conduct the enquiry of this biggest fund embezzlement and soon the result will be come out as positive that will expose the culprits. However the XEN Irrigation has rubbished the allegations of fund misappropriation leveled by the MLA Charanjeet Singh on the Irrigation Department and he said that all the details of expenditure of the Rs.14 crores on the Chack Dam Kokhyal is already submitted and shown to the higher-ups and District administration. |
