| Involve all sections of society in ongoing talks: Sadhotra | | | Doda | Apr 25 National Conference (NC) has emphasized the need of involving all sections of the society including the gun wielding youth in the ongoing dialogue in order to have lasting solution to the vexed problem of Kashmir issue, said Ajay Sadhotra, Provincial, President while addressing a public meeting at Sanglu (Dhanu) in Doda District. He said price rise and unemployment has become a matter of great concern for the poor people of District Doda, adding people of Doda District have no capacity to bear the continuous rise in prices of essential commodities and create problem in their day-to-day life. The much hyped National Employment Guarantee Programme is yet to take off in the Doda District as the poor labourers who have work in the scheme have not yet paid their wages, said Sadhotra. He asked the people to strengthen the hands of the National Conference and added that after four and half year of coalition government the people have realized that only National conference can load the people of the state. Devender Singh Rana, who has been elected as MLC recently was given a rousing reception at Sanglu. Addressing the public meeting Rana said Doda is his native land and he will work hard for the upliftment of the people of the District. Addressing the public meeting, Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy said developmental activities in the remote areas of Doda have come to a stand still. Among others who addressed the meeting included Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Dr. Chaman Lal, MLA Ramba, th. Kashmira Singh, Sunil Verma, S. N. Khajuria, Gh. Hassan Shah, Zafarullah Rather, Gh. Hassan Tak and others.
